Chicago Info

We're going to the Chicago Jazz fest. We'll be in town from the 28th till the 31st and are staying in the "river north" neighborhood just north of the Loop. I'm looking for restaurant recomendations, mass transit hints and CD/record store recomendations.

Also, how do you get to Wrigley Field from downtown?

Take the red line north to Addison.

Gotta hit the JRM (Jazz Record Mart) Right in the area where you are staying. Also check out Dusty Groove. check the web site for directions. www.dustygroove.com. There are a number of good used shops on Clark.

I'm sure Uli can give you more specifics.

Enjoy the festival!

Yes, getting to Wrigley from downtown could hardly be easier.

As for restaurants, what kind of food are you after?

JRM and Dusty Groove are worth looking at. The best used stores in town are probably Reckless Records. The Wicker Park location on Milwaukee (not too far from DG) is probably better than the Lakeview location when it comes to jazz. IMO.
