Resonance

Does this mag still exist? I can never seem to find it anywhere. Can one subscribe from the U.S.? It was one of their samplers that introduced me to the Fell/Wharf "Frankenstein" and I love all the fighting in the letters.

yep, still exists, it comes out once or twice a year. Forced Exposure has the most recent couple issues still:

their web site is at http://www.l-m-c.org.uk/

I think the fighting in the letters has been minimized in recent years. one favorite back and forth in years past was Stefan Jaworzyn's review of the No Music box, and Ben Portis (who put it out)'s rejoinder. there was a good one on the Evan Parker Electroacoustic Ensemble also, as I recall, maybe by Tim Hodgkinson?
