Thought I'd post details of this up here, nothing to do with me (except that I'm very excitedly looking forward to being there!) but it looks unmissable!

Marc Copland and Stan Sulzmann are also doing some quartet gigs at the Pizza Express the week before, with the very fine young bassist Phil Donkin and the drummer James Maddren. Not sure if I can afford 2 london trips in a week, but that'll be great as well. Marc Copland and Stan Sulzmann play wonderfully together, ie on Stan's album 'The Jigsaw'.

this was really wonderful. A real privilege to hear such musicians in such an intimate setting. I was about 4 foot from the bell of Kenny Wheeler's horn!
anyone else make it down? or to the quartet gig last week?
quite an audience too, I spotted Evan Parker, Martin Speake, Norma Winstone, Nikki Isles, Pete Churchill, Jamie Callum, Jeff Williams....
