It's hot enough

Been mostly in the upper 80s the past couple of weeks. Today it hit 94 and it's still sitting at 89 degrees now.

Hovering right around 70°, and will be sunny until about 11pm, then sunset, and we'll start all over again about 3am.

No 80-90% humidity, either.

Oh, the Land of the Midnight Sun.

It's nearly 100° at 1:37am? If so, that's beyond "brutal", bro.

Hit 90 here once so far and has often been in 80s all day but nothing brutal yet like last year. I've been working comfortably with the shirt off. I've had to sponge the horses down a couple of times but nothing really tough for them yet, either. Knock on wooden head.

won't complain. We had snow until may this year.
The pool is around 75F, nothing to complain about.

I thought we were talking with Larry.

Don't ask me what I think about the weather after I'm done muscling the 450 lb DR through the brush this morning. Sigh .....

I know it's hot when bees the size of hummingbirds dive bomb me when I walk out the front door, to see the dead grass in the front of my house. Next up, the cicada song.

Most people love summer but you can keep the days warmer than 75.

90 degree heat broke yesterday with a line of powerful thunderstorms. Cooler and breezy now, in the 70s today.

I was in mid-Washington state this past weekend (Mazama). Temp in the 60s with no humidity. Gorgeous.

Well, now it's not safe to ask me. I muscled that big mofo around for an hour while the space was still in the shade -- only to be told by Bronwyn afterward that I have to seed a whole paddock today, which will mean walking around and around in the hottest part of the day, no shade. How do I get myself into these things? Don't ask that, either....

Count me in. I will go with the martini. Bombay Sapphire and Noilly Prat, stirred, one olive.

We're having heat up in to the high 80's during the day. Today it's supposed to be 89o, and this week we're supposed to have lows in the high 30's and 40's. A couple of days ago it snowed in the mountains, so this is just too extreme, as we're having to still heat this old and drafty house in the evenings. These conditions oftentimes cause the baby animals to get pneumonia, they just can't get adjusted, it's too stressful on them.

Has anyone had a Midori Gimlet? I could go more than one right now. A girl bartender asked me one time if I would like the best drink I'd ever taste, and so I told her sure, and she made me up what I remember being a Midori Gin Gimlet, and it was like she said, the best drink I'd ever had, lime, Midori and Gin. It could have been vodka, I'm just not sure. I just know it was delicious. Anyone know how to make one? Or I guess I could go on line and get the recipe for it.

It was a hair just under 90 F to-day,but with air in house and pool in back ,it was no problem.. 2 blocks away is a mall. I walked there this afternoon to rent a movie..for to-night ( Last King of Scotland ) Well I didn't think it was that hot out..I had on dark brown velvet shirt and light brown cords..Big ,mistake...By the time I got to the video store I thought I was going to have a heat stroke..Lucky air cond.Tim Hortons is beside the movie store..I went in to have a cup of coffee and cool off before I walk back home...and to take those hot duds of and skinny dip the pool....

Summer must be embraced properly.

I think everywhere I have lived, people complain when it's too cold and when it's too hot.

But I guess people just complain a lot period.

I'm with you, Shrugs. I like these hot days. I try to remember how miserable I am when I'm stuck in a snowstorm or the temps are below zero. 90 and humid is no biggie.

Tell the truth, I'd rather be too cold than too hot. At least then I could pile on more clothes or something.
