Props to Chazro
Today I received an awesome compilation (double discs) with some of the best Latin/Salsa and Latin Jazz you can find anywhere, with a detailed playlist from Chazro.
This is the spirit of what the JazzCorner family is all about. Paying it forward.
I would love to see and hear more of your picks for a cd compilation.
Thank you Chazro for hipping me to "what's up!!"
Peace and light
Lois
Added this week btw to the jazzcorner jukebox, Patti Wicks, Bobby Sanabria, Rufus Reid, Mark Weinstein.
Thank you again Chazro, for being such an inspiration!!!

I just fetched today's mail, and there was my copy -- many thanks Chazro!
I've already got Bobby Sanabria's new one cued up for this leisurely six-mile run I'm about start, so I'll probably get to your discs on the way to and from tonight's dance. Lots of latin jazz for me today!!

Tremendous comp, Chazro! Consistently superfine quality and an impressive variety of music. Some great highlights, too, that I will follow up on, but since I was driving I can't tell you the tracks, I'll learn more about them next time through. (I do remember, though, that track 2 was slamming!! And yet I can find almost nothing on-line about 8 Y Mas and nothing at AMG on Frankie Vazquez. You guys keeping this music a secret?)

Wazzup Lois!!
How could I forget!? Wazzup wid dat!!??
...and a big wazzup to mi hermano Steve!! Nothing pleases me more than when I get positive feedback about mi musica! As far as 8 y Mas featuring Frankie Vazquez. Mr Vazquez can be heard on recordings by Manny Oquendo & Libre, Los Soneros Del Barrio, Chino Nunez, La Verdad, Ricky Gonzalez, George Delgado, and these are the ones just off the top of my head. Frankie Vazquez is, IMHO, the premier Sonero (salsa vocalist) of this generation. There are others to be sure, but Frankie's firein' on all cylinders right now! You'll easily find recordings featuring him AND 8 y Mas at Descarga.com.
I'm too pleased to be talkin' Salsa on the corner! VAYA!!!

Wazzup, Chazro!
Big props for the compilation you sent me a few years ago which I copied and sent to our pal, Singin' Sumo, who kept it in his car stereo system and enjoyed enormously until his passing.
