ECM 2000 (ie the 1000th release)

The release schedules for the label have been coyly skipping around this number for ages now, with even ECM 2000-plus listed for release, but no word as to what 2000 will be....

Jarrett?

Garbarek?

Lloyd?

Arvo Part?

the 500th disc came in Spring 1993 with some fanfare, 24 yrs into the label's life. Now just 14 yrs on and the catalogue has doubled (the interval between recording and release has too at the very least), Presumably we can expect a party where Herr Eicher will don a pointy hat, blow one of those kazoo-like party thingies, and fall down drunk at the end of the playback.

Hello Simon!

I am guessing there can't be anything better than...silence for this number.
