lake george jazz festival sept 13-14 free

if you have nothing to do on september 13-14th, you may want to consider that for free you can see deanna witkowski, don byron and his six musicians and siora on saturday. on sunday it ted nash and odeon, bud shank with ray drummond, bill mays, and joe labarbera, and the empire jazz orchestra with special guest lew soloff.

about one hour north of albany. concerts are outdoors right by the lake.

Cliff - Thanks for posting this!

I've never had a less than great time at this Festival.

The setting's magnificent, the booking (by Paul Pines who booked The Tin Palace once upon a time) is often inspired (and usually features players I like who I haven't seen to much of in recent years) and Lake George is delightful in a particularly Upstate/Adirondak Park sort of way. The drive along the lake(s) to get there from VT is spectacular.
