FYI, Amazon.com looks to have large numbers of ECM titles on sale for $9.97.

This is wonderful but their checkout function seems to be misfiring at the moment.

more ECM on Amazon - for USA customers only

Amazon has just opened an MP3 store. They have digital downloads of some ECM titles that are not available on CD in the US. (Unfortunately these downloads are for USA customers only.)

Titles include:

Ralph Towner/Glenn Moore: Trios / Solos
Jack DeJohnette New Directions

and some MP3s of CDs that are available in the US are only $6.99 for the album. Quality is better than iTunes: 256 kbps, and there is no DRM so you can play these files anywhere.

Looks like the sale is over. I did manage to get an order in last night, though, before it ended.

Man, I'm glad I struck while the iron was hot. I made a few more orders after my initial one. All together, I got:

David Torn-Cloud About Mercury
Dave Holland-Jumpin' In
Tomasz Stanko-Balladyna
Dave Holland-Triplicate
Gateway-Gateway
Jan Garbarek-Witchi-Tai-To
Keith Jarrett-Changeless
Keith Jarrett-At the Blue Note boxset

That last one was down to $67 and change--now it's back up to list price of $107!

These orders have probably increased my ECM collection by over a third. I'm becoming a big fan of the label....

I tried to stick to stuff I didn't already have on vinyl:

Garbarek - Afric Pepperbird
Abercombie/Holland/DeJohnette - Gateway
Ralph Towner - Solstice
Enrico Rava - Tati
Dave Holland - Conference of the Birds
Eberhard Weber - Stages of a Long Journey
Shiff/? - Beethoven cello sonatas

I've had COTB on vinyl for 30 years. Somehow I snoozed on the first three above which are all prime early ECM, at least from I all I've heard about them.

For sale one that is a good idea but seems to be misfiring at the moment.
