OK...ya caught me.

I have been there, well, at least once.

I stayed at a friend's house in Noe Valley with a terrific view of the Bay and Downtown. The lucky stiff.

I never got over to Oaktown....obviously enough...partly because I'm sure I've never been there EITHER and didn't want to get mugged by those roving bands of Raider fans [We hear stories...I mean, I wasn't born yesterday, ya know. sheesh] and my son came with me. At 13, I didn't think he'd get past the door at Yoshi's. Maybe next time we can link up? I still owe you that drink...

Anyway, saw some great GIANTS baseball, drove out to the Marin Headlands and hiked around, my son wanted to see Olympic Country Club since we're both avid golfers...it was deemed "cool", at Fort Point there was some filming going on with even parking designated for "extras" [I thought about pretending to be an "extra" and walk in, but I've got enough to do around here at JC] walked to Streetlight Records on 24th and spent way too much money, had some fantastic Thai food at Rin's on 24th and Douglass and basically took full advantage of the Muni and the Underground Muni whilst poking around The City with my son.

A good time was had by all....end of report ;-)

How sad that I will never know. If ever you were a fixed object it is now. A blank space where I can write my thoughts, imagining what you might be saying...my own lean sock puppet, with cross-stitch eyes athletic stripes fraying at my elbow, talking to me, and always respectfully. I can miss you even like you now it is better this way, my little sock puppet.

Thank you. Believe it or not they're from payless. Starr Jones knows what she's talking about!

It's okay, Goody. I was in Fresno once and was afraid I'd be dragged off by wild hillbillies.

Tim McGoodster - I guess we really could have hooked up. Sounds like you were just up the hill from me.

Next time go to Firefly for dinner (caddy-corner from Rin's). It's a great dining experience - great food & service, too. Maybe too serene for a 13-year-old, though.

I thought I remembered you lived close by.

BTW, I've walked past the Firefly numerous times, but for whatever reason, I've not sampled the menu. Next time, I will.

I hope you'll be my guest ;-)

Oh, and Tully's next to the Bell Market still brews the best coffee around, IMO.

Thanks, Mone.

Maybe we can work out a West Coast Hang in The City someday, eh?

And just maybe, after a couple brew-skis, you'll find out I'm not such a bad guy after all.

I think that'll probably require several brew-skis Timmer, but what the hell, I'm game! Lemme know if you ever venture south of Santa Clarita.

Can do.

I have a brother in Corona and my best friend is in Lake Forest [OC].

Next time I'm headed that way...I'll give you a shout.

Think BoBetterBlues will join us...?

Well...that may require a 12-Pack ;-)
