As a brand new first time iPod owner (loading the sucker up right now) I am slightly worried... I better leave it in the tub at night.

Yeah, just rinse it off twice a day.

I'm no longer worried. I'm more relieved I'm not this guy:

I had a battery experience with my first player. It went through so many batteries so fast (I bought a charger and two sets of four rechargeables that paid for themselves in a couple of weeks), I started carrying extra AAAs in my change pocket. They got turned around so that the positive end of one was against the negative end of another. First I knew of it was when my thigh started with just a warm sensation. I thought maybe I'd spilled something toxic on my jeans while working. But the warm started turning hot to the point of real burning. Yikes. I won't make that mistake again.

I saw a thing on tv where a cat got burned in a thunderdstorm because the I-pod acted as lightening rod.

Someone left his ipod in the rain
and it took so long to make it
but not so long to break it
and he'll never have that same playlist again
oh no
