Can't Add Attachment from Manage Attachment

I wanted to add photo to post but nothing came up when I pressed 'manage attachment' except little yellow 'error' message on bottom left corner of screen.

Any ideas?

Fixed it. I think I needed to put my cursor in message box first (to activate perhaps).

Hi, Tip--

Lots of ideas, but I need to go through them in some kind of logical order. So,

1. Did you get a "Manage Attachments" popup box? If not, temporarily disable any popup blockers you have working. Try to do that by holding down the CTRL key while clicking "Manage Attachments."

2. Once you've got the popup box, read the allowable specs. See if your image exceeds them. If so, please let me (us) know, and we can go from there.

3. If you want, I'll PM you my e-mail address; you can e-mail me the pic; and I'll either reduce it to allowable specs or host it on Flickr for you (see below).

You can avoid Attachments completely by joining a free photo storage/hosting service. I recommend and use Flickr.com. If you join Flickr and have trouble posting your image, I can talk you through doing it or, if you want, do it for you.

One of the many advantages of going that route is that you can post much larger pics than JC's Attachment feature permits.

Wow, Simone is a beauty, tippy. She really reminds Patti and me of our beloved Pee-Wee who died several years ago (age 15), just before Christmas. Her daughter, Sammi, died earlier this year at the age of 19 at our daughter's home in Anchorage.

There, you'll get info. on posting pictures using methods other than Attachments. If you want info. on Attachments specifically--which are often unnecessary or not the best method to use--please ask.
