Actually, I don't remember that, but as far as where she is:

Great stats! Too bad the Warriors aren't looking for a 6'2" power forward.

She has the misfortune of being a great player on a bad team in a league that not enough people pay attention to.

Anybody ever play against a woman that can actually play? They're a rare breed, but I played once against a woman with real solid fundamentals--she had jumper, handles, passing ability, stamina, she played smart--freaky. Not very fast though. Until I played against her I thought good female basketball players were a myth.
That said, the WNBA is boring hoop to watch. They should play on lower rims so there would be dunks (Lisa Leslie creeping one over the rim on a gimme fast break doesn't count). Why not bring it down to 9 feet? They already use a smaller basketball. A lower hoop would be more proportionate to their overall atheletic abilities. Holdsclaw might be better known if she could be seen on Sportscenter dunking on someone.

An aside: For a while the whole Washington Mystics team was housed in a building in my apartment complex. Every morning they'd hit the lobby, in sweats and the like but all dolled up, and be whisked away in waiting taxicabs.

When I lived in West L.A., there was a girl who used to run at our pickup games who was pretty good. Actually had some offensive moves, a jump shot, and moved well without the ball. She always got the small man on D, though.

I'll watch if there's nothing else on. Heck, I just like watching basketball, I don't care who's playing it, but I'll admit that it's not quite compelling enough to follow. When I was working out at the gym they had the All-Star game on, and Nikki Teasley made a really nifty hot dog pass. I tried to find a link for it on the web so I could post it here. Even Captain Hate would have been impressed.

The Detroit Shock are having a really good season. Around here we're so sports starved that we'll watch anything. I think the WNBA does pretty well here.

I will admit that I do not watch it often, but I can respect the womens' game even if they do not dunk. Every now and then it is good to see ball players that know the fundamentals of the game and actually play team ball. Holdsclaw is one of the best.

I've been outed!!! On that same afternoon there was absolutely nothing on tv and I ended up watching the All-Star game and was somewhat interested in it, particularly by the ball movement and outside shooting. Although almost immediately after I turned it on, Lisa Leslie injured her knee. I took that as a sign from God that I should keep watching for possible additional injuries.
