Vinyl goes belly up in Harlem

Supply and demand. Not supply and demand of records. Supply and demand of rental real estate.

Just read that piece in the paper. Harlem has long been undergoing changes, all of which aren't bad. But it's a shame there's isn't a way to accomodate these two record (and cassette!) dealers. At some point there will barely be anything cool left in Manhattan...

I knew Harlem's been on its way back up but it's a damned shame the music stores are getting hammered over it.

Maybe, maybe not. Amazon hasn't had a profitable year yet.

There will likely always be something like it, though.

On the flip side of this is a recent feel-good story about a vinyl store in Oakland.
