Ivo at 6 weeks. Notice the tomato plants towering over him. He was basically clueless at this point.

HA!
Forgot I had a couple of pics from the night we got Apollo here on my work machine.
I'll post better pics later. He's already 28 lbs. at 14 weeks, so he's going to be a very big boy one day. Vet estimates he'll end up in the 90 lbs. range. He's Lab/Akita/Border Collie, super smart (potty trained within 36 hours and answered to his name the day we got him), sits on command, and walk on a leash like he's AKC royalty.

Great looking pup, Scott. He's gonna be HUGE! Nikita's a border mix, too, although (duh) smaller. She's smarter than I am.

Our good friends have a Boston Terrier. We've "babysat" it before when they've gone away for the weekend. He's an ugly little cuss, but as cool as the day is long. Ultra smart too.
Does yours have that whole hip problem thingy?

She's healthy now, Scott. She's 1 1/2.
We've gone to several Boston Terrier meetups at local dog parks where there are 30 or 40 of them running around. They seem like a healthy bunch in general. Even the older ones still run around like puppies.
She's a really, really good dog and smart as well. Loves to sleep, too. She goes to bed with us doesn't move until we get up no matter how late we sleep.
She does have the screamin' farts, though! The car seems to bring it out in her.
Cute boy you have there.

Dolan do you have pet insurance yet? Highly recommend it. Get it when he's young and if anything goes wrong, its mostly covered, minus deductible. It also pays for all shots and monthly heartworm.
We have VPI.

We wanted one, all three of us love our friends dog.
My thing is that I couldn't live with myself paying money for a dog knowing there are so many in the shelter who simply need a good home. I'm just too big a softy when it comes to that kind of thing. I've always had pound pooches.
Surfer, no we don't. I wasn't even aware something like that existed. Thanks a bunch for the heads up. Kelly and I will have to look into it.

its great. we have the $23 a month superior plan which covers prescriptions, hospitalization, office visits,
surgeries, medication. My dog is pyscho and super-hyper, so rather than worry when he, say, jumps off a cliff to chase after his precious dogball, or goes swimming in the ocean in 4 ft swells, i dont have to worry if he hurts himself. Also covered a breed-thing like bladder stones, which is a problem in Dalmatians.
Anyway, I'll stop shilling now. I just never wanted to be put in a position esp now that he's older where I'd have to weigh finances vs his life. Vet bills can be expensive.

Speaking of dog health insurance, which I don't happen to have, my older spaniel was recently diagnosed with diabetes so now I have to shoot him up twice a day with insulin, eh…the first couple of months he was really good about it, just sat there and let me stick it in, but now that he's feeling better (really acting like a puppy again) he squirms and rolls and yelps like I'm hurting him or something. So the last couple of days I snuck it to him while he was eating, no reaction whatsoever, go figure, big faker. And yeah, the vet bills were pretty huge, but now I am doing home blood tests on him with a cute lil doggie glucometer (same test cost 200 bucks at the vet!), I would recommend that health insurance as it looks pretty good from this side of the 'previous existing condition' fence.
Great looking dogs everybody, I'm a big dog-lover...

Yeah, we did visit the Humane Society several times but couldn't find a good fit. It was in the city of Wilmington, DE and there were about half pit bull mixes and half older dogs that seemed to have some issues. Couldn't find one to suit the family.
If I got another one I'd look for a rescue. Unbelievable how many worthless turds out there abuse and discard animals.
I love my dog and have grown to love Boston Terriers but they are typical of what's wrong when humans fuck with nature. Births have to happen through c-section.

Sheesh, I thought that was Oscar's job.
If I attempted to do that to her now, a couple of legs might come off. The grand dame with be 14 1/2 next month, getting along, becoming increasingly senile as time goes on. Still, her ineffable beauty draws the slobbering attentions of all the randy little neighborhood curs. They only wish!

Dude, it is a mess! I generally go out with a five gallon bucket, line it with a garbage bag, put on my ipod, and I can get up to seven bags!
Talk about GROSS!

I really miss our late great yellow lab Hollywood aka Holly aka Brew. She was the kindest soul I ever met. If I can find a photo I'll have to post it.
In the meantime here's a reasonable facsimile.
