its integral, i agree, but the visuals and the story are great too. I love the movie.

Oh, I don't disagree at all. But, I also think the music sets such a solid tone that it creates the majority of the atmosphere.

Either way, yes, great movie. One of my all time favorites.

I was wrong. Its (the obelisk) entrance actually occurs in the first scene with the primates, doesnt it?
