Super Bowl Ads

Does anyone find it disgusting, as I do, that ads during Super Bowl are being viewed as some sort of works of art? Well at least as high an art form as American Idol. "Vote for your favorite", "Watch them over and over again online", "Take the MSNBC Poll and vote", "Let's get an analysis on the Today Show". I give. I'll buy a 12 pack of Bud Light and give it to my family next holiday.

they're almost uniformly awful, next year I'm going the DVR approach and watching the whole game in 90 minutes, like I did for all the other playoff games.

Me too. The Sales Genie ads were oddly near-racist, with stereotypical Indian and Chinese accents--creepy.

Didn't quite understand what the Dorito's folk hoped to accomplish by having a guy in a mouse suit pummel the shit out of another guy, but I guess I'm getting old.

yeah, that panda one was definitely racist, I don't think I saw the Indian one.

the only one I liked was the Thanksgiving balloons fighting over the Coke, I thought that was well done.

I was at a SB party at a bar with more than 30 people, so I couldnt really hear the TV, and missed all the ads. They're never good anyway, but I always get a kick out of the dalmatian ones for obvious reasons.

The Budwieser commercial with the guy who could breathe fire was just hilarious!

The luxury car commercial with the car grill in the guy's bed, OTOH, creeped me out.

A few were winners in our house:

1. Budweiser "Rocky" horse

2. Bridgestone screaming squirrel

3. Coke's balloons - awwwww

And the Bud Light with the guys striking out
