Hell freezes over: Two Good Lawyers

Yeah, I know, "first thing, let's kill all the lawyers." But could we spare these two? I don't know anything about the way they practice law, but they have to be among the most astute political reporters working today:

Scott Horton and Glenn Greenwald.

I always wondered: what's the second thing you do after you kill all the lawyers?

Bah, we'll melt the crown for dental work.

Then we'll get to the plutocrats ....

Well, if we kill all the lawyers, who's gonna sue on his behalf for misrepresentation?

Check out the story behind this judgment disbarring a prominent Boston litigator.

The detailed story leading to the disbarment is quite a read, let me tell you.

Yes, yes. Then we'll shoot the generals on our own side, as the hoary lyrics have it.

But what if the sharks have already eaten their fill of other undesirables like, oh say, music reviewers?

I didn't say it, you did.

Of course, on the other hand, what side is whose is a relative call.

From my perspective, there are entirely too many asskissing bureaucrats wearing stars and bogus decorations -- eg, Petreaus wearing a bronze star with valor signs, which one is awarded only for conspicuous valor in carrying the fight to the enemy while under fire, which he's never done, in Iraq or anywhere else. He isn't entitled to wear that decoration, which was spied by sharp eyes during his television time, but something tells me the Scumbuckets For De Troot won't be launching a campaign against him.
