Betterworld dot com (bookseller)

I just came across this bookseller when I was searching for used books online. I figured it deserved a thread because the company supports literacy programs, practices eco-friendly shipping, and has free shipping on all items in the U.S. They sell both new and used. Used books start at $3.48.

Yeah, but did you ever think that maybe they support literacy only because it allows people to read books?

Never mind.

(thelil) is right. Their motive in promoting literacy is merely a crass hunger for profit! Yet another example of the greed and hypocrisy of that enormous mega-industry, online used book sales.

Yeah, and free shipping in the U.S.. That's highly suspicious, too!

Good one, Pete. I read too much and too fast for my wallet. I'll be able to do a lot better than Amazon used when shipping charges are factored in. I've been wondering how I was going to continue feeding my habit.

This cracks me up:

Kindle: Amazon's New Wireless Reading Device

I have hundreds of wireless reading devices. Portable, too. I can carry four or five anywhere I go, if I want to.
