Would you vote for a President with... big man boobs?
I never would. The Taliban would have a field day with him.

Yeah, that's more like it!
Say, I'll be Al Gore has by now worked up some serious Man Boobs. Al, it's not too late to throw your size 8 1/4 hat into the ring!

Dave -- Anyone could tell Gore had no interest in running for anything this time out by his prosperous waist line. If he'd been wanting to run or be drafted, he'd have been doing road work and skipping desert.
Nuff said.

Portliness in those days was considered a sign of prosperity.

More than enough sign that Gore isn't interested in running. He'd be doing roadwork if so. An inconvenient truth.

What do you think the chances are that Gore has been approached by either Ms. Clinton or Mr. Obama to be their running mate?
I keep hearing about how experience is the big log on the road. I would imagine that there are few with Vice-Presidential experience being considered, even with possible man boobs.
If Gore were to climb on board, would it strengthen the ticket?
I think it would, although as has been already suggested, Gore may very well not be kidding when he says he's well out of the snakepit in Washington.

I doubt that either's contacted him. He's made it pretty clear that he's not interested.
I don't know why anyone would be interested in another vice-presidency. One, ok, I can see. But two? No.

You're probably right. And Gore's probably wise to pass, if only because he does know what Washington is like.
Pity, IMO.

He didn't do squat while he was v.p. so it doesn't matter.

Perhaps. What is the vice-president's job???
When Gore was vice-President, like most vice-presidents before him, he was there to immediately step in if Clinton was incapacitated or died in office.
Cheney is more president than his boss, George W Bush. The vice president's usual role was comparable to the runner-up in the Miss America Pageant. He/she doesn't have one, at least not the one that Dick Cheney has assumed.
