chabon and the coen's

michael chabon's "yiddish policeman's union" has been accquired by the coen's for a future film. if you haven't read the book its great. i'm excited by the possibilities.

The book is excellent and certainly reads like a movie. I figured someone would snatch it up and there are worse choices than the Coens.

Interesting news, but who knows when -- or if -- the film will actually get made. A film adaptation of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay has been in development, or turnaround, or limbo, for some years now.

As a reader, I see the later book as more "cinema-friendly" than "Kavalier and Clay."
