Man, I suddenly feel a whole lot better about myself.
This should be the last spring for the White Sox in Tucson, at Electric Park. It's electric!

A "Beckett is overweight" post would have sufficed. I dont need to see proof.

I used to walk Ivo in that park. He used to run around off leash in the bullpen.

Heh. Its a nice sprawling park, and in the Fall, and Summer (in the mornings, before in gets hot) dogs can run around off leash. Unwritten rule.
Its tough to find places to walk your dog off-leash in Tucson.

Because of that extra roll of fat in Beckett's beer belly, I have to downgrade my Red Sox projections by three games.

Still wondering if the Theo & Tito show is planning on featuring Coco as their fourth outfielder, with Schilling down and Blanton on the block in Oaktown.

Coco doesn't have much trade value, he can't hit and his contract isn't small. that's why he's still in Boston, Blanton will require a lot more than Coco.

I love that you're too fucking stupid to see that Dolan's openly mocking you. Furthermore, you're so fucking stupid that when he responds to this with mock outrage, saying that obviously he's not mocking you, that'll be over your head as well.
So funny. And yet so, so, sad.

I see.
And your reading comprehension skills realtive to the thread's title, uh... escaped you somehow. Is that it?
Go back to sleep.

Coco obviously as a part of a downsized version of the proposals the Sox had on the table for Santana.
The wood's not immense, but not hideous: if he started full-time in Boston this year, I'd count on him for .280, 10 HR, 20 to 25 steals, and plus-defense. However, I don't think his OBP would cut it in Oakland, plus his miniscule power numbers would take a shot as well.

He seems to be somewhat injury prone, as well.

I find it rather outrageous that you accuse me of mocking McGlasson.
I would certainly never do such a thing!!!
I fought with you damned "Aebly" brothers on this front way too many times. McGlasson has finally cut through all your analytical horseshit and exposed you for what you truly are.
And for that I stand and applaud him.
As I do for ALL Special Olympians.
Have you no heart, you beast!!!

once a guy gets past his arbitration years and is a proven mediocrity, he's not much of a commodity to a team trying to rebuild with a small payroll. Ellsbury might not be much of an actual upgrade on Coco in terms of 2008 performance, but he's a far more valuable asset because he doesn't have to be paid real money for the next 4-5 years.

Looks like the Giants might actually have a pitching staff.
Cain
Lincecum
Lowry
Zito
Pitcher TBA
[heaviest of sighs]
Gonna be another long season....

Zito's got a shot at being the best #3 starter in the league, if not all of baseball.

Hey, at least you have pitching. And the outfield defense will better at two positions, with Rowand in CF (for Roberts) and anyone in LF for Bonds.
That offense, though. Eeeeeeeccch.

I suppose we could have a philosophical debate on whether it is preferable to lose games 3-1 or 15-12. Because I suspect you'll see a lot of the former in SF this season.
