Terneuzen (The Netherlands)

The John Marshall / Ferdinand Povel European Quintet performed at the Porgy en Bess Jazz Club in Terneuzen ( the south west part of The Netherlands) on Sunday afternoon the 17th of February, 2008. It was labeled as one of the best quintets of the European jazz scene; well, that was wrong ....... it is the best !!

check out Maynard Ferguson's "Live at Jimmy's" from the early 70's....Povel has a feature on that record (I can't remember the tune) but it's a gorgeous performance. He must be a REAL mofo these days! =:-)
