The double CD Swing Guitar Masterpieces 1938-1957 is an excellent vehicle to know the work of this virtually forgotten musician.
In Argentine we can find some of his recordings. More than 30 years ago I've bought there an LP where Oscar is accompained by a local big band led by saxophonist Jorge Anders, who live in New York since the late seventies.

Swing Guitar Masterpieces 1938-1957 IS very nice...my only acquaintance with Aleman, but very enjoyable. Despite the many things you read comparing him with Django, which makes sense on one level, I think hear a very different approach and sound - less immediately dazzling and pulse-pounding, instead a kind of seamless logic and grace, an inevitability, to his lines.
