Why are my posts disappearing?

First one on the Alley (High-school predictions) and now one on the Dennis Irwin thread. I don't know about others because I don't hit threads to reread my stuff. But I did notice this on these threads. What gives?

Interesting. I have noticed recently that my posts are disappearing halfway thru the important point that I was trying to

make, and then reappearing after the interstice of a Tom Storer post which is itself blank!
