Paramount Theatre March 16th.

SEATTLE, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The Northwest African American
Museum's (NAAM's) Grand Opening week will culminate on March 16th with
the Quincy Jones Extravaganza event at the historic Seattle Paramount
Theatre in downtown Seattle. The 8:00 pm all-star concert features Grammy Award winners Carlos Santana, James Ingram and Ernestine Anderson, and will honor Seattle native Quincy Jones with NAAM's Board of Directors' first

An impresario in the broadest and most creative sense of the word,
Quincy Jones' career has encompassed the roles of composer, record-producer, artist, film producer, arranger, conductor, instrumentalist, TV producer, record company executive, television station owner, magazine founder, and multi-media entrepreneur. Among the multitude
of awards he has received for his contributions are an Emmy Award, seven
Academy Award nominations, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and
Sciences' Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and 27 Grammy Awards. Mr. Jones is the all-time most nominated Grammy artist, with a total of 79 nominations.

Recently, he was inducted as a "Kennedy Center Honoree," the United
States' most prestigious artistic award, for his lifetime contributions to the
culture of the country.

Other artists featured at the event include Academy Award nominee,
singer/songwriter Siedah Garrett, Clarence Acox & the Seattle Repertory
Jazz Orchestra featuring jazz great Buddy Catlett, Steve Connell and
Sekou (tha misfit), Laura "Piece" Kelley-Jahn, Ruby Bishop, and Juan Huey Ray and Sound of the Northwest.

Ticket prices for the event range from $25.00 to $150.00 and are
available through Ticketmaster and the Paramount Box Office. Proceeds
from the event will help support the community programs at the Northwest
African American Museum.

Quincy Jones will be available for a press conference on Sunday,
March 16, at 5:30 pm in the "Sorrento Room" on the 7th Floor of The Sorrento
Hotel.

I wish that Patti and I could attend this historic event in two historic venues, the Paramount Theatre and The Sorrento Hotel in one of our favorite cities ... Seattle.

The Sorrento Hotel
is one very cool, pricey place to host a press conference, that's for sure.
