Downbeat Polls

Does anybody have a list of the Best Jazz Album winners in the Downbeat Readers and Critics Polls? Don't imagine they're an infallible sign of quality, but I'd be curious to see what has won, and I can't find lists on the Web.

You need to brush up on your internet skills.

1) Go to the downbeat magazine website
http://www.downbeat.com

2) On the top right is a search box. Type in: poll
(and hit enter)

3) The resulting page will have at the top:
Down Beat Critics Poll
Down Beat Readers Poll

4) Clicking on either one will bring up a box. Click on "Archives"

5) Pick a year, and you got it.

Am I missing something, or do the reader's Polls only go up to 1975? Is there an up-to-date list?

I don't see anything after 1975 either, Chris.

I'm sure that there's an explanation, however.

I don't understand it either, but if you look further down the page that has
Down Beat Critics Poll
Down Beat Readers Poll
you see a list of search results for the Downbeat critics poll from 1996 through 2002.
I don't understand that either. Why are there articles just for those years? and what about the readers' polls?
Oh well. I guess Jazz folks are just weird.
