I'm thinking that I might this year.
But I'll miss Day One.
Got tickets to my final Yankee Stadium game the following week.

I wish I could.
We talked about it with Jan, but I'm afraid I'll be in Moroco at this exact period. *sigh*

Quel dommage. With this exchange rate, all our European friends should come to NY.

Would Messieurs Storer and Litwack consider the trip? It's been a long eight years since I last saw them in Paris, and dined with them at Au Gourmet à l'Isle.

I might or might not be there. I'm not sure, either way. Then again, I really don't know.

Please, don’t make me tempted like that, Pete.
BTW, are the restaurants booked yet?

The only definite plan is the Saturday bar hang at dba. Assuming anybody plans to show up.

Up for air...
I'm there for the Friday show and the "hang". Actually I'll be in town all weekend but have other plans for the other days but I think I'll try to make it to the DBA hang on Saturday.

I don't know about a dba hang, since nobody else seems to be coming (well, Frisco never shows up to dba). I'm also only going to the Friday show.

KMB Festival
I won't be making it for the first time in six years, but if anybody is getting into town early, consider checking out the festival that I am putting on. There isn't a whole lot else going on these nights in NYC, so give it a chance:
KMB JAZZ FESTIVAL

295 Douglass Street, Brooklyn (between 3rd and 4th)
(Take 2, 3, 4, 5,B, D, M, N, Q, R to Atlantic/Pacific)
$15/one night night $25/both
Advance tickets at http://www.kmbjazz.com
Music starts at 8pm
Sunday June 8
Roy Campbell, Jr.’s TAZZ (with Andrew Bemkey, Chris Sullivan and Michael ‘TA’ Thompson)
Ideal Bread (Josh Sinton, Kirk Knuffke, Reuben Radding, Tomas Fujiwara)
Transcendence Quartet (Ras Moshe, Rashid Bakr, Shayna Dulberger, Dave Ross)
Matt Lavelle solo
Monday, June 9
Sabir Mateen/William Hooker duo
Joe Morris solo banjo
Trio Caveat (Jonathan Moritz, James Ilgenfritz, John Mclellan)
Eye Contact (the return... Ryan Sawyer, Matt Heyner, Matt Lavelle)
Best
Eric

Not totally true. I showed up a couple of years ago at a specified time and nobody who said they'd be there were there. Another year I sat with Abbey and a few others. Other years, there have been very good sets of music going on which took priority to beer. Like the year that Alan Silva was in town and did some sets at a little art gallery. There was some excellent music on two afternoons, Saturday and Sunday. But after the 2pm Jeff Arnal set on Saturday this year, I'm free for a while.

I'll be in town. Hell, I'm always in town these days. Maybe I'll go down to dba and drink all by my loneseome self, just to enjoy the weather (and the beer, and the absence of Scott to make me drink too much scotch...).

Hi everyone
First I want to thank all our friends that came out tonight, as well as my apologies to everyone. Patricia Nicholson Parker called me at around 11:45 to warn me that the Living Theater folks were basically ignoring the arrangements she had made with them more than a month and a 1/2 ago, and told me that Jason and Cooper-Moore would be starting at around 12:45
She was upset, and asked if I thought we should cancel, but I said no and in the spirit of everything Vision, I still thought everything would be a love fest. I got there at 12:10 and was totally ignored by the Living Theater people. At about 12:45, Patricia came in and we both tried to talk to the management at the Living Theater. Simply put - they were unbelievably rude. Patricia was laying out a significant amount as a gift to all of you to pay for the theater. But her deal was for 2 hours. I interjected, trying to be logical with ANDY at the Living Theater explaining that it indeed was their confusion, and let's compromise and we would do one hour for 1/2 the price. He refused and had no interest or concern regarding your guys, Vision or JazzCorner. I felt this was terribly unfair to Patricia and the people at Vision, and so it was cancelled.
I'm terribly sorry, but I thought such a gift as Patricia as well as all the musicians were providing was not received by the folks at the Living Theater, and they refused to either extended the hours or to let us start our Jam by at the very least 1am.
My biggest regret is for you, and we didnt hear and participate in some great music! Oh and I didn't see you all!!
