Wow, Kobe bought his teammates each a $9000 watch for his MVP award. I'm surprised he makes so much money in endorsements.

I think it will be going up after this year.
Kevin Durrant is not doing bad in enorsements for a rookie.

I really really hate that kind of crap. Didn't somebody else just buy all his (also insanely wealthy) teammates cars? You know how many homeless people -- in China, Myanmar, New Orleans, or basically anyplace other than Scandinavia-- that kind of cash could keep alive for a whole fucking year? But bestowing watches and cars shows how coolly generous you are, I guess.
It's just so disgusting I can't even think about it without my blood pressure going dangerously high. Goofs.

I know almost nothing about sports, but are any of the 10 hottest female athletes on this list?

Probably not, but I could live with my crush's income:

In fact, there wasn't a single women on the list. I was rather surprised not to see the Williams sisters there, but I guess that since this was a list of the 50 highest paid U.S. athletes, and so much of their income comes from outside the U.S., a lot of their loot wasn't counted.

Excitement?
I suppose we should review the fact that professional athletes don't make near as much money as the guys who own the teams. Pro athletes are paid what the owners can afford to pay them. Companies that pay pro athletes for endorsements see that investment rewarded.
Kobe gives to charities. What, does he need to justify how he spends some of his money? Even when he gives gifts to his teammates, he's a villain. The completely unwarranted hate is really annoying. Hate pro sports altogether if you're going to hate on Kobe for this shit.

Sure, Kobe gets to do what he likes with his gazillions, but I can object to what he does with it if I like too, no? (I'm sorry you feel so bad for him, but who's got it better in this sitch, him or me? hmmmmmmm)
So, since I get to give my view (just as he gets to spend how he wants), I'm saying that I think $7k presents to 15 multi-millionaires is just showy nonsensical bullshit. My view is that his millionaire friends can buy their own bling (and, also, I'm thinking he could have done his charitable bestowals so quietly neither you nor I would know about them if he really wanted to).
Finally, if it will soften this blow for you, I'm quite willing to say that most of of the owners likely also suck.

Given the insane ticket prices for professional sports, I think both the players and owners can go to hell.

I don't feel bad for Kobe, Walto. I agree it is "showy nonsensical bullshit." I just tire of the constant barrage of negativity where Kobe is concerned, that's all. All pro athletes live in fantasy land, not just the highest paid/best ones.

Funny how in the world of golf, Mickelson always seems like a very distant second to Tiger, but in the broader world of sports success, he's...well, a distant second to Tiger. But I give them both kudos because not only are they raking in the bucks, they don't have to sweat or risk concussions to get it.

I agree with that, and, as I've said several times, I personally very much enjoy watching Kobe play. He's a terrific basketball player, whatever his other faults.

I'm a Lakers fan, Noj.
I was just making a sardonic remark relative to how much these guys do get paid irrespective of what the owners make. It's a damn sight more than I will ever see. Besides, I was only partially joking.
However, I have to be honest with you, I think pro athletes get far too much money for what they do for a living. Cops, nurses, fire fighters and yes, even teachers, get way less than what they should be based upon what they do for a living.
BTW...Kobe rocks.
Lakers in 5.
