NORTH SEA JAZZ FESTIVAL 2008

The North Sea Jazz Festival 2008 has been scedulded at the Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam for the 11th up to the 13th of July 2008. Hundreds of musicans will perform during those three days. I hope to visit the festival on Friday, because I found some great names I hope to see live in concert.

Like most jazz festivals it's gotten homogenized and gone way downhill. I'll always remember 1997-2001 with great fondness.

I attended in recent years (Rotterdam), so I can't assess 'downhill.' However, it was not 'homogenized.' The variety of artists I heard is greater than any festival I know of in the U.S.

anything but to me as well. wish i were attending this year although it kind of overwhelmed and half-way paralyzed me last year. too many artists and too many people for my taste although it's still an awesome opportunity for music lovers. as is the case with many other "jazz festivals," i wish it had more jazz and less other kinds of music.
