Jazz and Rib Fest July 25-27

Central Ohio residents can weigh in on their favorite barbecued ribs while enjoying the music of jazz heavy-hitters next weekend.

Artists such as Randy Weston's African Rhythms Sextet, the Charles Tolliver Big Band, Simone and several others will headline the 2008 Columbus Jazz and Rib Fest, set July 25-27 along the downtown Columbus riverfront .

The fest runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. July 25 and 26 and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 27. Jazz performances are scheduled for the Bicentennial Park Stage in Bicentennial Park on Civic Center Drive and Riverfront Amphitheater in Genoa Park on West Broad Street.

Performances begin at 11:30 a.m. each day at both venues. Headliners go on at 6 and 8:30 p.m. July 25 and 26 on both stages, and at 4 and 6:30 p.m. July 27 on both stages.
