Sigh... It means that I'm going to have to choose between the Billy Bang/Paul Rucker double-bill and this one. I think that it's going to be the latter, having never heard Robinson in concert except with the Two Generations of Brubeck band
years ago.
Earshot has a great line-up this year, one of the best that I can recall, if not
the best. Not one, not two, not three, but
four of my favorite pianists: Cecil Taylor, Marilyn Crispell, Georg Graewe and Satoko Fujii (she's playing with Larry Ochs' Drum Core along with Natsuki Tamura.)
