Wild Magnolias Big Chief Bo Dollis benefit

Longtime Wild Magnolias Big Chief Bo Dollis is the voice that brought Mardi Gras Indian music to the world. Dollis has been a much-loved figure in the New Orleans music community for more than 30 years. Health issues have kept him away from the stage recently, but he's expected to attend a big benefit show in his honor Thursday at Tipitina's.

Those scheduled to perform one or more songs include Marva Wright, Rockin' Dopsie Jr., Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews, Gerard "Bo Jr." Dollis, the 101 Runners, Charmaine Neville, "Big" Sam Williams, Donald Harrison Jr., Eddie Bo, the Hot 8 Brass Band, Jo "Cool" Davis, the New Orleans Mardi Gras Indian Council, Papa Grows Funk and many more.
