New Year's Resolutions For 2009

My office is on the 4th floor and, starting today, I'm only taking the elevator on down trips. (For a couple days, anyhow.)

That’s a good one, Walto. (1) I’m going to move to Salt Lake City – I wish I were there already, it looks like a magical winter wonderland right now - and (2) I’m going to start dating again (after a LONG hiatus). I haven’t dated someone new since the year OJ went on his ramblin ride. I don’t even know what year that was, ’93? Yikes!

Can't imagine putting that much pressure on myself.

1. Add more animal fat to my diet

2. Mute the sound during sports broadcasts except when Vin Scully is on.

3. Not to drive if my destination is under 100 yards.

4. Eat more bacon.

5. Try to get what those free jazzers are trying to do.

6. Don't listen to free jazz.

7. Put my money (what little of it is left) in a tin can in the back yard.

8. Try to empathize with the goals of right wing Republicans.

9. Avoid flamingo stampedes.

10. Take gallons of #65 sun screen to the beach.

Work on ending conversations that quickly become an interview when the other person is obviously trying not to share any of their own life with me.
I'm through coming away from a 30 min chat that is made up of questions aimed at myself.
You better give me some juicy info on your own life or else!

Eat better (We've already been working on that one).
Work more and be grateful for it, after this period of forced inactivity.
Get to know my new city more.
Get a library card.
I have also resolved not to fly again until they stop treating citizens like criminals.

I started changing my diet in october and I've quite a bit of weight (relatively speaking) and I feel better. So far that's been fairly easy for me.

Also around that time, I started gradually incorporating more exercise in my life. Not much yet, but at least more than I was . So far that's been really hard for me.

My resolution is to stay on course.

Yeah, I have been doing light work outs and really am feeling good from it.
Simple and easy and I don't even stress about having to do it.
Helps to have a treadmill and dumbbells too.

My new approach to important tasks.
DO IT NOW!!!
I remind myself that I am not going to live forever, so, if I actually intend to do something, sooner is better than not at all.
Late is NOT better than never.

My New Year's resolution is to take better care of myself. I have gained 20 pounds since my mom's death and I need to get that weigh off.

Right behind you, Karen.

Since my foot operation in July, I have gained no fewer than 20 pounds....that is, added to my already overweight body.

I'll probably return to my first job. I love the one i have right now but some influent poeple think i'm more "usefull" in the place i was, years ago due to what i know about it. That means a few promotions ( just got one) and more work.

My resolution would be to avoid workoholism. I used to work 140 hours a week. No good for familly stuff, but certainly good fo the wallet.
