TOLEDO, Ohio – Joe The Plumber is putting down his wrenches and picking up a reporter's notebook.

The Ohio man who became a household name during the presidential campaign says he is heading to Israel as a war correspondent for the conservative Web site pjtv.com.

Samuel J. Wurzelbacher (WUR'-zuhl-bah-kur) says he'll spend 10 days covering the fighting.

He tells WNWO-TV in Toledo that he wants to let Israel's "'Average Joes' share their story."

Wurzelbacher gained attention during the final weeks of the campaign when he asked Barack Obama about his tax plan.

He later joined Republican John McCain on the campaign trail. At one stop, he agreed with a McCain supporter who asked if he believed a vote for Obama was a vote for the death of Israel.

I think it's weird how they stop the missiling to allow supplies to help people who have been missiled get through. What a concept.

I think it's creepy how seemingly intelligent people are outraged when they see terrorists running around with the body of a child in their arms and screaming bloody murder, only to see the child skipping down the street after the video shoot is over.

Then again, I'm not an "intellectual"...

More depressing than we imagined, most likely yes, but certainly nowhere near as depressing as the previous eight. It really is a bit early to be condemning the Obama Administration to failure when it hasn't yet begun.

Wow. Joe the plummer believes in suppressed media? He should stay in the middle east. There are plenty of countries who do as he is suggesting here.

BTW, does anyone actually dig this guy. Why does anyone care what he does? And who the fuck is funding this douchebag to fly around like this. If he has a contingency in the right, I would say this is a sign that the right is imploding (if Sarah Palin wasn't already).
