What a tease - I like Peter Lorre, so upon seeing this I went to Netflix and looked for Mad Love. Alas, it's not there. I settled for Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea.
I noticed Ted Healy is in it - I don't suppose Three Stooges make an appearance too, do they?

Somehow, the phrase "shout out" with regard to Lorre seems inappropriate.

Reeek, you have to hiiiide me!

In a morning from a Bogart movie
In a country where they turn back time
You go strolling through the crowd
Like Peter Lorre contemplating a crime
- Al Stewart, "Year of the Cat"

So Larry, just for the record, you are not the director Larry Cohen of Black Caesar, It's Alive, Q: The Winged Serpent, etc fame? Right?

I totally dig Lorre. You've got to check him out in The Raven.

Nope, not me.

My name is actually Lawrence D Cohen, and I'm usually called Larry Cohen. The writer/director you're thinking of has the same name, even the same middle initial, but it's not me.

*fixed*

[Casablanca is my all-time favorite movie...]

Not that it matters, but I thought he was better in The Maltese Falcon.

I often found myself confusing Peter Lorre with Marty Feldman, just for a second.
It was the eyes.
Come to think of it, Steve Buscimi has those weird, sticky-outy eyes too.
