Could Tom Cruise be more sanctimonious than Lou Dobbs?

Dobbs has long been at the top of the sanctimonious heap, IMHO, but the more I see Tom Cruise being interviewed (most recently on Access Hollywood, don't even ask why I was watching), the more convinced I am that he has an impossibly inflated sense of his own gravitas.

Yeah and, sadly, he’s got the moolah to back it up. All for dancing in his underwear in 1980-something. Great gig!

Tom's got a lot to say, especially these days where he's basically the motive force behind a plot to kill Hitler. Sure, it's a movie. But I don't see anyone else killing Hitler.

True. He stated in an interview that as a kid he wanted to kill Hitler (note to Tom: probably dead already). What kid didn't dream of that?

Cruise is wacko, Dobbs has just found a way to ramp up his mediocre career.

Those Nazis sure knew how to design a fearsome and authoritative uniform.
Look at the height of the hat!!
I guess the eye-patch is supposed to make Tom's character even more terrible from the point of view of his adversary, who only had a weird mustache.

However, once they saw that the fearsome uniform contained a man who is probably 5'5", their fear would be somewhat less.

They might be tied for that honor. Could it be related to a Napoleon Complex?
