Wordplay

Let's start a thread where we play games with words. With little effort, I just came up with a list of 10 VERBS that are the NAMES OF ANIMALS. for example, ape. I'm sure there are many more. See how many you can name. I'll reveal any from my list that are not mentioned by day's end.

The verb (implied) in that phrase is "is," not cat.

However:

Cat can be used as a verb, no need for pussyfootin' around it.

New question: Is there any animal whose name is not capable of being verbed?

I'm feeling kinda platypusy, neither here nor there.

It's an oldie but there are more than you might think:

Words that are their own opposites, classics being "cleave" and "ravel".

Without googling, find some more.

Some of these seem more like nouns and adjectives than verbs, but I'm impressed with how many hadn't occurred to me. "Squirrel" was in fact the one I thought of that inspired the thread.

Brian, one of my favorites is prenatal and parental.
