Get “cool, crazy and hot” with The Denver Office of Cultural Affairs and the Five Points Community on May 16, 2009 at the 6th Annual 5 Points Jazz Festival. The festival will take place in the Historic Five Points neighborhood with venues all along Welton Street. This year’s festival will feature a jazzy array of performances and activities for music lovers of all ages. Many of Denver’s best musicians will be performing throughout the day. After some toe-tapping, boogie all the way to the Art Market, the Nonprofit Fair and the Black American West Museum. For those of you who enjoy jazz history you can listen to Dr. Fred Hess’ lecture on the History and Composition of Jazz at the Blair Caldwell African American Research Library.
