Lois,

I request that you permanently disable tippy. You don’t want to answer my pm. That’s fine. But I repeat my request that you permanently disable tippy.

It’s not right that what you have done for others you won’t do for me. I just can’t fathom why that is. I’ve been asking for over 2 years now. It wouldn’t matter if I changed my mind as there is nothing to come back to and I know that whereas before there was a question. Now there’s not. And my request is public leaving no question about under whose volition this is.

You’ve seen these guys throw me out like garbage here time and time again. They want me to go. The spectacle is over so please remove me. People will be relieved and happy again and new and better things can happen.

It’s for my mental health though, me wag, which is very, very poor. More poor than anybody knows or can tell. It wouldn’t have gotten to this point if my request had been fulfilled before now. You have to let me go for my health. It’s better to want me to go.

Tippy, some time ago I asked the same thing of Lois for reasons not worth repeating here. Lois said it wasn't possible to de-register anyone. Maybe the latest software upgrades won't allow this? I thought it would just be a case of deleting a profile. I imagine Lois is very busy and can't always get to private messages straight away.

Fwiw, I will be saddened to see you go. The sense of humor that comes through in your posts is one of the charming aspects of this board that keeps me coming back. I'm truly sorry you've been kicked around and need to leave us, but your health is most important of course.

Maybe so, I don't know, but that doesn't mean you won't be missed.

Tippy, you may be making some unnecessary assumptions about Lois. She may not have seen your PMs yet. It's possible, you know.

And, for what it's worth, if anything at this juncture, I'd hate to see you split, too. You've been like a breath of fresh air many times, and very kind to me, two things which are very difficult for me to fail to mention or forget.

I hope you'll always consider me your friend, too.

All the best, tippy.

I do consider you a friend, Ron. You and many others too. The need has been fulfilled and I would steer others away from replies this thread because what some build up with praise and whatnot (a clue, might I be Darryl?) others are immediately attracted to tearing down. So let’s end it and I will say good night. And thank you again for your compassion.

Tip, I understand, or at least I think I do. It's like when I get into a bag of m&m's, potato chips, chocolate chips, popcorn etc. and just can't stop putting my hand in the bag and bringing it to my mouth. I often plead with my husband and children to just "take it away! take it away!". I'm sorry if that makes me a weak sow in some folks eyes, but honestly, I need somebody to just cut me off sometimes. I don't know what that is. But it's how it is.

I don't want you to go either, but if you need to be cut off, I hope somebody helps you.

Cookie, you guys have helped me more than you know. And I would like to state here, I appreciate what you were saying today and it’s really been a pleasure for me to watch you develop and grow over the years. Just listening to the stuff that you’ve shared. It would be so great one day to get to hear you sing and jam with your fellow musicians. Maybe I will plan a trip back East for my 50th, god willing, and you can sing Happy Birthday to me.

You got to walk that lonesome valley
You got to walk it by yourself

I like that lonesome valley – it’s unadulterated, it’s quiet and free – but sometimes it gets too heavy and when it gets too heavy, you can’t appreciate its beauty anymore, you can’t hear the quiet, just the pounding of rising blood pressure and smoldering thought.

I've always been my own worst enemy.

That's exactly what you are.

Stay, or go.

But don't rely on others for your happiness, or to "make" decisions for you. It's a fruitless path.

I think most people are their own worst enemy. It’s not like a unique state in the human condition. It’s not special to be your own worst enemy. It’s not something I wrote down today – like oh wow deep profound thought. You also told a my friend of mine to go kill himself.

And Scott I’m gonna give you a little help in this game right now and tell you that right now you’re aces up, sitting very prettily, and you don’t want to give up that strategic advantage. Work it, baby. Don’t sacrifice it for the crazies.

I am glad tippy stays.

My worst enemy was always aebly. I am glad he is almost done. To that extent I am a bit sad that this other thread had to go, Besides the sad parts there was some of the funniest shit I've ever read. The sheer presence of Mr. Toxic himself as a moderator supposed to rain in Dolan on IHS and the two posters he admittedly had to edit (for staying on topic, for gods sake from the nerd who tried to derail this whole board) happen to be Boston fans! It does not get any better than that in cyberspace.
