So what do you expect for $6.80 an hour? Ogilvy & Mather?

Funny thing is, I actually really like the single and the album (even liked the last one, WORRISOME HEART)--I think Gardot's got something. But I wouldn't recommend Universal spam as a part of the Jazzcorner diet.

Saw her on Letterman just the other night.
From the song they did, including 'hip' finger snapping, appeared to be working on a nouveau Peggy Lee kind of thing.

The trumpeter in the band took a mediocre solo, to be kind.
All in all, it was kind of *Jazzy*

I think the proper term is "nouvelle Peggy Lee kind of thing."

Lots of Peggy Lee at my dance last, huge first night of beginners class! I did the singing call of It's A Good Day and played Peggy doing Big Spender and Why Don't You Do Right.

I used it in regards to the term "newly arrived" as the definition, like a second coming, so to speak.

I agree that nouvelle would have been better......thanks
