Avram Fefer Trio "Ritual"

Thanks to a good friend in NYC and UPS I received this gift yesterday

and it #s been playing since. Once I thought "Calling all spirits" was the ultimate sax/bas/dr trio work, I fell in love now with "Ritual" instantly. Am I cheating on the spirits, is it just because its new? Don't know. Don't care. It's simply great work. Fefer gives tenor, soprano and alto plus a bit of bass-clari, and again there's a very cool Eric Revis. I even like the drum work of Chat Taylors now more than I do Igal Foni's, but wait and see(hear). Even a few altissimi as "collectors items" can be found.
My fave tune at this point is Feb 13th but that doen't mean the other 60 minutes or so are less enjoyable. It really is a(nother) great album

Having heard his CIMP Calling All Spirits (and that great vers. of Orange, if I'm recalling it right), I'd like to give a listen to this new cd too
