Actually, "definitely" is only misspelled 9.1516 %, but adding other variations like "definatily" or "definitaly", it could make the 10 %

So here are some I have. Some are a little tongue in cheek. Yes, they are not as striking; nevertheless:

address: 67 400 000
adress : 219 000

uncertainy: 3 090 000
uncertainity: 10 400
(this isn't that bad)

probably: 25 900 000
prolly: 172 000
(had to do this)

peculiar: 1 470 000
peculier: 20 100

jazz: 12 700 000
jaz: 594 000
(the sorry state of jazz)

wynton marsalis: 64 800
paul dunmall: 3430
(this one's for Steve R.)

Great site, by the way.

Must say that one of my pet peeves is the misuse of "your" and "you're"; also, "its" and "it's".

I'll bet the above are misused about 80% of the time on this site!

So, what would it take for 'definately' to be accepted as a variant of 'definitely' by the dictionary people?

A lot of words are more frequently mispronounced than misspelled such as FebRuary, or goverNment

I never cease to be amazed at how many politicians and news reporters say Washen DC. Sheer laziness.

When I was a kid in North Carolina, there were lots of other kids who pronounced "spaghetti" as "psghetti". Kinda' like verbal dyslexia or something.

A subway series of sorts:

Number of results on Google for the keywords sodom and gomorrah:

sodom
( 353 000 results) versus gomorrah
( 99 900 results)

The winner is: sodom

Valerie dear, you have embarrassed your old dad, here.
I had totally forgotten that possessives of personal pronouns do *not* get an apostrophe. Hence I'm sure I and others have been guilty of incorrect possessives, eg your's, their's .

PEDANT!!!
