Ilona Haberkamp / Paula Dezz Quartett

A female friend gave me this with a knowing smile: "you're gonna love it" was the meaning of that smile. I was a bit scared at first, because this friend, she tends to be rather sarcastic in a very feministic kinda way(know what I mean?)

Must say: I do love it and I know why the friend was so sure about that: we once had a lot of fun at a fem-group gig of a band by the name of Miss Jones Orchestra that featured this young, talented, female, german alto/tenor sax player , now out with this wonderful reminiscence of Paul Desmond.

It's nothing new but it is played with so much warmth, enthusiasm and love for the sound of Desmond, one gets a nice treat that lasts for a little over an hour but keeps lingering and echoing for hours between your cerebellum and your whistling lips.
