Pay for view - James Brown Vs Michael Jackson

(inspired by the No Hate MJ thread - there is so much one can say about MJ most of it not good. He was an enigma. The reinvention and redemption since his passing has been staggering but that will last until all the tell all/tell nothing true books tart from out of the publishers)

I transcripted this from Golden Gloves

Announcer:

"Ladeeez en Gennelmen
In the red corner, weighing in at 180 pounds
we have the one an only sex machine, the man makin the scene
direct from the federal penetentiary, where he had a successful engagement for tax evasion.
the godfather of soul
Mr James Brown

In the blue, ah I been advised of a late change here, the slightly off white corner, with a hint of mascara, weighing in at 175 pounds with a hugh debt/equity ratio and ownership of the beatles back catalogue, direct from neverland
The King of Pop
Mr Michael Jackson"

(Crowd Go Wild)

Commentator: "Well Reggie, we have been waitin for this engagement a long time now. It seems like connections finally got them in the same place at the same time and now its finally gonna happen. Can you dig it The Godfather of Soul versus the King of Pop. Just look at the celebs at Ringside. Man I tell you. I have been looking forward to this,. Reggie?"

Reggie: "Well you know, these guys are heavyweights..."

Commentator: "Actually they are Middleweights Reggie.."

Reggie" "Damn you sucker, you know I mean in the profession. Wayz. These two are icons Man. I can remember JB at the Apollo back in what was it '62. Man that guy was light on his feet. His footwork was inspired."

Commentator: "Yeah get on the good foot but he tried lotsa styles in his time in the ring"

Reggie: "You're right baby, Papa, indeed, has a brand new bag.."

Commentator: "What of Jackson then? How do you rate him tonight"

Reggie: "Well he never got to play the Big House despite a few attempts to get him there so Brown has an edge there but he is a fighter thats for sure. He had a pretty good team around him that got him here"

Commentator "Un huh"

Reggie " So he can't be inderestimated"

Commentator: "Well reg what do say to those who question Jacksons..ah ..style.

Reggie: "Well for years now he has had a tendency to go below the belt.."

Commentator: "Let me interupt you there Reggie, we need to take a word from our sponsor. Folks we'll be back real soon. This is gonna be a great bout. I cant wait"

(Advertisement - Ironically for Sony CBS)

I stopped transcribing at this point.

Did you see the bout?

I gave it to JB but I know others scored ift different.
