Gerald Clayton - Two Shade
eyo-
So, i just picked up "Two Shade", Geralds first record. Its pretty killing, especially for a debut release.
Anyone here have it? What do you think about him as a leader and composer, and not just a great sideman anymore?

gerald is John Clayton's son, he's a fine player.
The CD is actually quite good.

two shade is sick! best new trio cd in a long while-

just found this - you can actually sample one of the tracks from the recording here, if you haven't heard it:
