Has anyone seen this movie? What do you think of it?

I saw it for the first time last night, I didn't really understand it, the flash backs were kinda confusing, I plan on watching it again tonite.

It's a biopic about a drug addict. Too bad Eastwood didn't make a film about a musician.

Been ages since I saw it. I mainly recall that it was pretty unsubtle, with some of the dreariest cinematography I'd ever seen--virtually the entire film at night or in darkness.

I liked bits of it but Eastwood is such a messy filmaker. His editing was a hatchet job as usual. I like Forest Whittaker though.

IMHO a far better jazz movie is "Round Midnight."
