Friends of free piano improvisation
This evening I had the pleasure to hear one of my best concerts of this year, I'm sure. At the chamber music room of the music highschool of Cologne Sylvie Courvoisier and Irene Schweitzer gave a duo-solo-performance of outstanding quality. Again my poor words can't transport the high energy of this two masters of free piano playing. First piece introduced them together, followed by soloing and then again they played together.Third piece was outstanding joyfull with both on prepared grand piano. Whilst Irene seemed to me the earthier of both Sylvie gave the more atmospherical sound that lets the whole thing become a univers of music ( I love that atmospherical mood of such an univers ).
Like at the Shipp concert time went by too quick but left me as an allover happy person. So I'm looking forward to next Sunday when Sylvie meets Ellery at Stadtgarten.
