YAY!!!!

Yay! My site is finally up. Please go look at it and tell me if it is nice--hopefully it'll work.
I'm having trouble viewing it on this laptop but on everyone else's computer it's working nicely.
It's only pop-up and banner-free for a week, so go check it out before it's ugli-fied.

My ultra-cool website

T-Funk--It's awesome, or whatever kids are saying instead of awesome. You have great taste and a nicely warped mind, too!

I had fallen madly in love with Ms. Funk until I saw that she considers Led Zepplin the band of the century.

Now, we are no longer on speaking terms.

I'm glad you like Ben Allison's "Riding the Nuclear Tiger." I like that one, too.

I reserve the right, however, being an old codger, to refuse to read any more T.H. White.

on the Pollock though, have you been able to find a decent Pollock site, TF? The only ones I can find have a small handful of paintings, and a lot of yammering about his life. I give a shit about his life, I just want to look at them purty purty pictures.

At my schools library the only pollock book they had was in black and white.... talk about missing the point. criminy.

I've been on a big Pollock and Rothko kick lately. It was all started by a drum solo on the first Territory Band record.... damn if Paul Lytton wasn't playing "Lucifer" or "Blue Poles" on his drums.

Cool! It was fun. Thanks! Don't forget to change your JC profile so you have a website "button" by your posts (you know--the ones that let you look at profiles and such). I'm having big fun these days visiting JC people's personal websites by clicking on them as I scroll through.

Now if I could just figure out how to make the words colorful and post the pix....

Thanks TF!

Lord...you can paint your own color Pollocks. I put a paint brush at the end of my dog's tail, dip it in paint (multi-colors, of course) and he goes to it!

Instant Pollock.

Just kiddin' of course, the man was a geeneeous! Koff Koff.

Just kidding. I do think that Pollock was a genius.

I guess I'm probably the only one who doesn't get it. But then again, Pollocks art is just like freejazz, either you get it or you don't.

we'll talk on pollock scott... if you can dig cecil, you can probably dig pollock. you have to look at it differently, you know? its a lot like free jazz though, you're right.

cat paintings look cool. i like the elephant ones too.

I also think Pollock was a genius. The Cecil Taylor of visual art.

I've had a few teachers (not even art teachers, imagine that?) say that Pollock was a huge charlatan blah blah blah, and that anybody can do what he did. on a related note, despite my performance in the class, I got a C in my theory class last year -- for arguing with the pfoessor that no, cecil taylor does know how to play the piano. he really got bent out of shape about that. He wanted to use Cecil Taylor as an example or someone who doesnt know shit but has "gone far" in music. Philip Glass was the other one.

oh well. Pollock is neat. so are kitty cat paintings. I didnt really dig the elephant CD though.

Great site. Better design than those of most multinational corporations. Make them give you some of their money.

Why thank you.

Um, no, I haven't found a decent Pollock site...which sucks.

BTW--The "Musician of the Moment" thing changes to a different musician every time you click on it; there are like 30 different musicians...so if anyone ever gets REALLY bored one day and wants to get...even...more...bored...you can spend a while clicking and clicking until you've seen all of them! Fun! Woohoo...

Ahem.

A statement worthy of John Cage.

Thelonious, you're the hippest.
