Hmm, I was thinking of the same question. I've seen two different JSP boxes that cover different periods. I'm by no means a completist, so I figured either of those would be good.

The JSPs have great sound, and they're cheap.

Hey David, I found a 10 CD Django box at Amoeba for something like $30. It's a German pressing, covers a lot of ground.

I've heard a couple of songs with Coleman Hawkins and him, but that's all, so I don't think I'll be of any help.

I have the new 4 disk "Swing De Paris" 1934-1952 from Properbox which is great value and beautifully remastered.

WARNING: ANNOYING GRAMMAR POST FOLLOWS - READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

That "would have" is ungrammatical!

I wish they would do something - present. Hence: I wish Mosaic would press this on vinyl.

I wish they had done something - past. Hence: I wish Mosaic had pressed this on vinyl.

I wish they would have done something - Error, error! Does not compute!

Thank you. This service is free of charge.
