Mr. Google told me, he played at the Moers Festival (Germany) back in 1995 with Horace Tapscott and his Pan afrikan. People‘s Arkestra.

Sonship Theus (that's how his name is spelled on all his recordings in my collection) was a member of Wadada Leo Smith's N'Da Kulture and played with the band on "Golden Hearts Remembrance" (rec. 1997) and "Dreams And Secrets" (rec. 2000).

As it seems, he is not with N'Da Kulture anymore. Don't know why... You'd probably get some info from Leo Smith's wife, Harumi Makino, when sending an e-mail to Leo's address as given on his site.

Woody "Sonship" Theus is on some McCoy Tyner albums I own from the 70's. He was the drummer on Woody Shaw's "Song of Songs."
